Liebe Lesenden,
seit unserem letzten Newsletter ist einige Zeit vergangen. Es war uns wichtig, euch keine inhaltsleeren Nachrichten zukommen zu lassen. Nun, mit handfesten Themen und Updates im Gepäck, wollen wir euch über alles Zukünftige und Geplante informieren, das in den vergangenen Monaten ausgeheckt wurde und den Verlauf des neuen Jahres prägen wird.
Doch zuallererst möchten wir uns für die letzten Monate bedanken. Eure Unterstützung und der Zuspruch, den wir erhalten haben, gaben uns den Raum, uns trotz der allseits bekannten Umstände weiterzuentwickeln. Dazu gehört, dass wir nicht untätig Däumchen gedreht, sondern an Orga-Strukturen gefeilt und neue Konzepte erarbeitet haben. Aber auch, durch verschiedene kleine Events neue Crews, Kollektive und kreative Menschen dazugewonnen zu haben, mit denen wir das MIT DIR 2022 erneut auf eine neue Ebene heben werden.
Das Wichtigste zuerst: Wann und wo findet das MIT DIR 2022 statt?
Streicht euch die Zeit vom 28. bis 31. Juli 2022 rot im Kalender an und malt euch um unsere geliebte Klingemühle im Friedland einen dicken Kreis in euren Atlas.
Was passiert mit bereits gekauften Tickets?
An dieser Stelle ist es uns ein immenses Bedürfnis, allen ein riesen fettes Dankeschön auszusprechen, die ihr Ticket nicht zurückgegeben und uns zugleich ihr Vertrauen geschenkt haben. Wie wir es bereits 2020 und 2021 angekündigt haben, möchten wir nun endlich unser Versprechen einlösen und haben daher dafür gesorgt, dass die Tickets – und es waren über die Hälfte der Tickets! – für 2022 ohne einen Aufpreis ihre Gültigkeit behalten.
Ich habe noch kein Ticket! Was nun?
Alle restlichen Eintrittskarten schicken wir nun in den Verkauf, hier müssen jedoch die Preise für die Nachzügler*innen angezogen werden. Das hat Gründe, die wir euch gern erklären möchten:
Sowohl 2020 als auch 2021 mussten wir unser geliebtes Festival absagen. Wie auch die gesamte Kulturbranche hatten wir in der Zeit starke finanzielle Defizite zu verzeichnen. Doch die Kulturbranche hat nicht als einzige gelitten: Viele unserer Dienstleistenden haben ihre Preise erhöht und diverse Rohstoffe sind ebenfalls teurer geworden. Außerdem müssen wir uns darauf einstellen, höhere Ausgaben durch Hygienemaßnahmen einzuberechnen. Aus diesem Grund werden Einzeltickets bei einem Preis von 155 € + VVK-Gebühren liegen. Rudeltiere sind wie gewohnt kostengünstiger unterwegs und zahlen pro Ticket 145 € + VVK-Gebühren.
Die noch verfügbaren Tickets können von Newsletter-Lesenden ab sofort erworben werden. Der offizielle VVK über andere Kanäle startet am 06.03.22 um 20:22 Uhr.

Alle Jahre wieder suchen wir engagierte, fleißige und kreative Köpfe, die Lust haben, ihre Ärmel hochzukrempeln und uns beim Erschaffen eines mehrtägigen Paralleluniversums unter die Arme greifen wollen. Du hast ein Kollektiv oder bist Künstlerin? Du betreibst einen Food-Stand oder bietest Festival-Gadgets oder andere inspirierende Produkte an? Oder willst du einfach mit anpacken vor, während oder sogar nach der Feierei? Und das sogar über einen längeren Zeitraum, dann bewirb dich auch gerne als Praktikant*in. Wir brauchen in allen Bereichen jede Menge Unterstützung.
Trag dich so schnell wie möglich in das zugehörige Formular ein, alle weiteren Details erfährst du im nächsten Schritt von uns. Wir strecken die Fühler aus nach:
Supporter während des Festivals und für den Auf- und Abbau
Kollektive, die Lust haben, ihre eigenen Ideen und Projekte zu verwirklichen
Künstler*innen in sämtlichen Spezialgebieten
Food/Non-Food Stände, die uns kulinarisch und anderweitig verwöhnen
Workshops, die unser Programm abseits der Bühnen bereichern
Praktikant:innen, die ein wenig mehr hinter die Kulissen schauen möchten
Corona & Politik
Alles, was wir wissen, ist, dass wir nicht alles wissen. Das betrifft insbesondere die pandemischen und politischen Umstände. Wir können noch keinen Ausblick geben, welche Maßnahmen in diesem Sommer getroffen werden müssen. Wir hoffen sehr darauf, ein ganz gewöhnlich ungewöhnliches MIT DIR Festival durchführen zu können und mit euch so zu feiern, wie wir es uns vorstellen. Gleichzeitig wollen wir alles in unserer Macht Stehende tun, allen Gästen ein sicheres Festival zu bieten. Über das Hygienekonzept – ob xG-Regeln oder Tests oder beides – werden wir euch informieren, sobald wir Genaueres wissen.
Was uns optimistisch auf den Sommer blicken lässt, ist die Tatsache, dass bereits im vergangenen Jahr Festivals stattgefunden haben. Einige Kolleg*innen sind als positive Beispiele vorangegangen und haben bewiesen, dass ein gemeinsames Tanzen auch in diesen Zeiten möglich ist. Wir glauben daher fest daran, dass uns in diesem Jahr weniger Steine in den Weg gelegt werden.
Möglich wär’s, dass in der Zwischenzeit noch der ein oder andere Vorgeschmack auf das MIT DIR Festival im Berliner Raum lauert.

It has been some time since we sent out our last newsletter. But it was important to us to not send you any news that are empty of content. Now, with solid topics and updates in our hands, we want to inform you about everything that has been cooked up in the past months and will shape the course of the new year.
But before revealing the new info, we want to say thank you for the last months! It was your support and encouragement that we received that gave us the space to move forward, despite the circumstances we are all aware of. We have fine-tuned our organisational structures and developed new concepts. This also means that we gained new crews, wonderful collectives and creative people with whom we will once again raise MIT DIR to a new level in 2022.
First things first: When and where will MIT DIR 2022 take place?
Take out your red markers and highlight the time from 28 to 31 July 2022 in your calendars and mark our location in Friedland, Klingemühle on the map!
What happens to tickets that have already been purchased?
Once more, we would like to take this opportunity to give a massive thank you to all those who did not return their tickets and have put their trust in us and our festival. We already announced it in 2020 and 2021, now we finally want to keep our promise. Therefore, we made sure that the tickets - and that means more than half of the tickets! - will remain valid for 2022 without any additional cost.
I don't have a ticket yet! How can I change that?
We are now starting the sale of all remaining tickets. However, in this ticket round, we will have to raise the prices for new ticket purchasers. Here are some reasons to explain to you why we needed to take this decision:
In both 2020 and 2021, we had to cancel our beloved festival. Just like the rest of the entire cultural industry, we had to face severe financial deficits during that time. But the cultural industry has not been the only one to suffer: many of our service providers are also affected and increased their prices, meaning various commodities have also become more expensive. Additionally, we need to prepare for extra expenses to keep up with the current hygiene measures. These are the main reasons for the new pricing scheme. Single tickets will cost 155,00€ + VVK fees. Members of pack (group) tickets will save some money and pay 145,00€ + VVK fees per ticket.
All tickets that are still available will be offered and sold. The official sale starts on march 6th fo 2022 at 8:22 p.m.

Each year, we are looking for dedicated, hard-working and creative people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help us participate in creating a parallel universe for a few days. You are part of a collective or an individual artist? Do you run a food stall or just like to offer festival gadgets and other inspiring products? Or perhaps you want to lend a hand before, during or even after the party?
Then please go ahead fill in the form as soon as possible, and then we'll let you know all the details in the next step. We are looking for:
Supporter for the festival set-up, during the event and dismantling our location afterwards.
Collectives who want to realise their own ideas and projects
Artists of all kinds and specialities
Food/non-food stalls to spoil us with culinary and other delights
Workshops to enrich our programme off-stage
Corona & politics
All we can say at this point is that we don't know everything. This is especially true for pandemic and political circumstances. We cannot forecast any preview of what measures need to be taken this summer. We very much hope to be able to hold a very usual unusual MIT DIR festival and to celebrate with you the way we imagine. At the same time, we want to do everything in our power to offer all guests a safe festival. Whether there are going to be x-G rules or tests or both - we will inform you about the hygiene concept as soon as we know more details.
What makes us optimistic about the summer is the fact that festivals have already taken place in the past year. Some festival colleagues have set positive examples and proved that even in these times dancing together is possible. Therefore, we strongly believe and hope that there are going to be fewer obstacles to solve this year.
In the meantime, there might be one or two tastes of our MIT DIR festival lurking around in Berlin's waiting rooms.. Stay tuned, you'll hear from us!
